Hello,
I want to speak about a trip. Indeed, two years ago, I went to the United States where I visited New York, Washington and Miami Beach. When I went to Miami Beach, I was very impressed by the predominant Spanish. In fact, before to go to the US I read different books and websites which said that in Miami more people spoke Spanish than English. On the beach, in the streets, in shops people speak Spanish to between them and when you listen the radio people speak in Spanish too. But when I spoke to them they replied in English. I think more people speak Spanish due to their geographical situation. Miami is in Florida and Florida is near to Cuba, Mexico a country where people speak Spanish. In the 60’s and 70’s many Cubans arrived in Miami but it intensified in the 80’s with people also coming from Argentine, Venezuela and from Latin America in general. In Miami there is a Latino district called “Little Havana” where the Cubans generally live.
